Anybody have this problem too? I use MSN messenger... and hence removed Windows Messenger from my PC. However, even though it is not installed, whenever I connect to the net, Windows Messenger connects and I receive messages

I find that I have to disable Zonealarm when using Windows Messenger. Does this mean that I am then at risk from outside sources and if so what is the answer?

if i sign on in ms-messenger, my status is "online". that is correct; but I will log on first with a shown status "offline". i will change it myself if i want. has anybody suggestions where i can configurate a start-status

Anyone know how to get the (away) status to work. I have it set to go on with 5 minutes of inactivity and it doesn't, so it looks like I am always available. There must be some setting in the registry that's not right Thanks, Lloyd
