I have the latest Windows Messenger running on Windows XP. Can I communicate
with a friend running MSN Messenger?

Thanks for getting back to me. I am talking about the
setting in Windows Messenger that is in the "Buddy List"
box, under file, "my email inbox".  I wish to change that
email setting.

I just rebuilt my computer with WinXP Enterprise and
Office 2003.
I had an older version of WinXP previously and my Windows
Messenger always opened IE and displayed my Hotmail inbox

I installed SP2 but have found that my mail notifications
alert me to my Outlook Express email account and not
Hotmail as before. Is it possible to change the alerts to
my Hotmail email account?

I installed SP2 and now Windows Messenger does not sign in automatically
when I boot the system.  Its in the tray but I have to sign in manually.  Is
this another SP2 "security improvement" or can I change something somewhere
to force the auto sign in?

Prior to XP SP2, Messenger would access my Hotmail via
Internet explorer.  After installing SP2, messenger now
opens Outlook Express which does me no good.  Is there a
way to configure it to access web mail via IE again?

I have MSN Messenger 6.2 and have been using it without
problems for ages. However recently when clicking the sign
in icon it begins to sign in and the icon of those two
figures begins twurling and then it just stops and goes

I try to uninstall my msn6.2 using the remove program from control panel, but
during the uninstallation, my computer got hang up, so i need to reboot it
again, then i went ahead and remove msn6.2 from remove program at control
panel again, it doesn't allow me to remove it.

Regarding Msn Messenger and Microsoft Messenger,
can someone tell me which product is supported most by Microsoft? I guess
this also indicates on future trends and future integration of the products
in Longhorn and other O/S.

My pc won't load MSN messenger games (ver6.2) However,my laptop does and it has the same broadband connection.
I've tried:
Reset defaults and cleared cookies on explorer
Firewalls (windows & anti virus app.

My other brother, and all his friends, use AOL
Messenger.  He doesn't want to change because of all his
other contacts.  Are the two compatible so that we can
