I keep getting these pop-ups when i am on the internet.
They claim to be a messenger serviceand thatif i pay
somuch money they will stop. I know it is posible to stop
this from happening but i cant remember how. Can anyone

i use the Windows Messenger 5.0. Some colleagues use also 5.0 or Messenger
4.7. We work behind a firewall. The sign in process works fine and the
online/offline status seems also to work. (In the Connection-options, i can
see, that the messenger use the proxy-settings of my ie)

I installed XP-SP2 yesterday, and I'm having problems with Windows Messenger
sending me an alert when I have email on my MSN/Hotmail account.  I can go
to MSN.com and sign-in and see there is email in my account, but no
notification through Windows Messenger any longer?????

Using MSN messenger 5.0 with Exchange 2000
We have MSN messenger installed on out corp network
We have 2 remote users they can send messages to everyone inside
but when we try to reply we get "The following message could not be

I use MSN messenger instead of WINDOWS messenger, but not
have windows XP and it does not show the MSN contacts on
internet explorer like windows 2000 did. It only shows
the contacts if I am logged into WINDOWS messenger

Am currently using XP Home SP1 and WM 4.7
I am wondering if it is possible to delete/hide or deactivate old WM logins
that show up on the Sign In dropdown menu?
One reason for this is that one of the logins used to belong to a former

quick question: i wanted to disable windows messenger and use msn messenger
instead. it worked perfectly, however, msn messenger doesn't appear in
outlook express (windows messenger used to be there...)
any suggestions about how i can fix this?

Is it possible to use other features than text (e.g., voice) of Windows
Messenger 4.7 for communicating from an xp pro client, in a Windows 2003
Server local network, to peers outside the local network.
