Am I correct in understanding that Windows Messenger has become a core
technology of Windows XP which cannot be uninstalled (although access to it
can be removed)?
Therefore, previously published advice involving the sysoc.inf file or

I need to stop windows messenger popping up every time I connect to the

My display name for messenger is my e-mail address and it

I have had very mixed sucess in establishing Audio communicationin a mixed
(1 x SP1 & 1 x SP2) environment.  Sometimes audio works well both ways.
Other times one end or the other can transmit. Exiting & re-launching
