After installing sp2,my microphone works perfectly,but speech comeing in breaks up (stops and starts).After system restore sound was OK again,so have reinstalled sp2,and again my sound is distorted.My sound card is Sis 7018.

Every time I try to initiate a video conversation, Messenger tells me it is connecting to the other computer and then it says the Video Conversation has ended. Any ideas?

I've just got ASDL and went along with Microsoft's suggestion that I download SP2. This I did ,though it took me an hour and twenty minutes. It automatically installed itself to my C: disk and checked its download etc.

Remember when we had to configure windows messenger to send and recieve files by opening up 14 ports. With the firewall enabled. I have xp pro sp2. Messenger 5.0 Do i still need to do that. Create the 14 msn connection ports?
