After installing sp2,my microphone works perfectly,but speech comeing in
breaks up (stops and starts).After system restore sound was OK again,so have
reinstalled sp2,and again my sound is distorted.My sound card is Sis 7018.

Every time I try to initiate a video conversation,
Messenger tells me it is connecting to the other computer
and then it says the Video Conversation has ended.  Any

Since upgrading Windows XP to Service Pack 2 I now have the new
version of Windows Messenger (4.7.3000) installed.  This version
refuses to show my status as being 'away' when I am inactive for 5
mins (or any other time interval set) despite having activated this

      I've just got ASDL and went along with Microsoft's suggestion that I
download SP2. This I did ,though
it took me an hour and twenty minutes. It automatically installed itself to
