Hi Jonathan,
Now I'm more confused.
I do not have MSN Messenger installed so I can't turn off Windows Messenger
from there.

When I try to open my cd-writer it does not open.  When I
go to my computer, it only shows the cd-rom/dvd rom
driver on it.  It seems to have disappeared.  Any

I understand its possible to itegrate MSN Messenger to my

If I try to log in the "signing in" message appears and just stays there for
ever. If I put in a wrong password it gives me an error message. Other people
can log in from my account ok, and I can log in from other people's accounts

(http://www.microsoft.com/windows/messenger/addindownload.asp) compatible
with Windows Messenger 5.0? The system requirements mention only version

that downloading and installing 6.2 would help, but i

Whenever I try to log into my hotmail account it will not
work. A message about incorrect username/password appears.

Windows Messenger creates a key called "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\S", whenever I
try to sign in and there is no internet.
Here is the contents of that key (on my system):
