Messenger 6.2 Fails to Start, even with Auto logon Checked28 Oct 2004 20:49 GMT1
I recently installed Messenger 6.2 on my computer, and it was running great.
No hesitation, when booting up.
But yesterday, after running a Spybot Cleaner, I lost the able to logon to
my messenger and other Microsoft programs; but I am just concerned with the

I've generally been very happy with MSN Messenger since I replaced Windows
Messenger 4.7 with it.  But I don't care for the sounds and have not been able
to change them.  When I do make changes and Apply, default sounds are back once
XP has been rebooted and MSN M 6.2 is opened ...

Having a problem using audio with Windows Messenger. Basically the problem
is when chatting with someone with the mic and webcam, they can see and hear
me and I can see them, but cannot hear them. Happens no matter who I chat

Ever since I loaded XP SP2 on my PC, my MSN Messenger
(6.2.0137) no longer works.
Interesting it does appear to login to the server as it

When I close MSN Messenger (Version 6.2 run on Windows XP), the System Tray
still shows MSN Messenger icon. Is there a way in the setting (likely in the
registry) that I can set to exit the MSN Messenger icon in System Tray when
I close MSN Messenger?

what do i have to do to have more than one identity on msn messenger
6.2? with the messenger 4.7 i could select with which ID i wanted to
go online, now i have to take a way through passport to change it. any
ideas?

Winchat doesn't work with SP2. I try all the différents
configurations. There is a big bug.....
Can you help me? I don't active the firewall of course...
