I bought a new DELL INspiron 8600 laptop and I have a problem with
accessing my emails particularly Hotmail and Yahoo. Once I try to
signon to hotmail, it hangs on for a whle and displays "Page not

I used to make voice and video calls well until yesterday when I downloaded
the XP Pro SP2.
When I want to accept video or voice calls or request them, my DSL Modem
resets itself. I turned off firewall and still can not make calls or receive

Every time I attempt to initiate a video communication, an error is generated
and the Windows Messenger locks up ("is not responding").  I need to close it
down via task manager.  Also, if someone else initiates the video comm., and
I accept, the same thing happens.

I run MSN Messenger 6.2
Everything I use runs fine except for one thing.  I'd like to sign in
automaticaly but it fails always.  After loging on to windows, the icon
flashes during a few seconds showing that the messenger detects internet

Just to add to my previous post....
I am confused if MSN messenger still requires Windows messenger to be
installed on the same machine for all services to work, in particular I
refer to remote assistance.

file transfers, audio, whiteboard, video conferencing,
etc.  Installing NAV 2005 blocks UPnP and makes these

I have added a certain contact to my list, now all of a sudden it's not
showing it. Irrespective of whether they're logged on or not. I am still
able to chat but the entry is missing.
Is this some Messenger add-on? This is annoying, the control freak in me

i have a web cam on aol/messenger   my neighbor has
identical web cam on tiscali/messenger   we can send
messages to each other but no video/sound  when we both
accept connection just get grey screen on camera box
