i used to be able to receive files through windows messenger but now they are
blocked, not sure whether by the xp firewall or my network firewall.
How do i find out and how should i setup the firewall to allow files only
from my personal contact list

Windows XP, I think it's version 4.7.2009.  Try to connect
Windows Messenger, get msg. NET messenger service is not
available but in reality is working fine. Check TOOLS,
OPTIONS, CONNECTIONS, and it states I am not connected.

Hi there , I am using MSN messenger 7 Beta and I can not
get Whiteboard to work , I am using a linksys WRT54GS ,
do I need to forward ports to allow the extra features of
MSN messenger ? I could not get whiteboard to work with

i can use msn messenger to write and recive messages to send and receive
files but i can't talk. what is the problem?? i use wireless conection.
Software like Skype works properly but i don't know anymore what to do
with msn. can anybody help me??

Hello, i read a lot of your messages and find them pretty accurate. I had the
same problem with the audio problems and i enabled UPnP in my router and now
everything work fine. My only concern is that i've noticed that it takes
longer or pauses when i'm signing in MSN. Also ...

using messenger 7.0.425 beta, i have msgpus installed. i try an send
something, nothing comes up on the reciepients screen. same vice versa.

I am able to view webcams on mine and my daughters
computer we are on a network connection, but when we try
to add Audio or try to Video Conference it is rejected. I

I used to fix my girlfriends computer by using application sharring via
messenger, she
sharred the desktop and I could remotley control it.
She had XP greek and I had XP English. everything was working fine.

i run xp and cannot download from any site, i can download updates for xp and
avg , but will not download from ie download .com , get blank white screen
with 1/8 inch multi colored square top left corner of screen , any help would
be much appreciated , frustrated pc user.
