Winchat18 Feb 2005 06:18 GMT5
We need to allow two users to message internally and reasonably securely.
They are currently using IM (but not Messenger) without encryption. Short
term, it would be great to let them use %windir%\system32\WinChat.exe. But a
quick test on XP SP2 fails, and I'm not sure why. ...

Windows Messenger & SP216 Feb 2005 23:07 GMT9
When SP2 starts it re-adds the Windows Messenger ie
(C::path/Messenger/msmsgs.exe  /background) value to registry even though
its gonna sit in systemtray doing nothing, as I don't use it. No point in
having things on the system if there not being used :) How can I fix this ?
