Ok...well i download messenger 6.2 and when i click setupDl.exe it just screws up and i get an error...Error creating process <C:\DOCUME~1\rick\local settings\temp\IXP000.TMP\bootsrap.exe...i dont know how to fix

Running Windows XP on my Presario laptop and all of the sudden, when I try to shut down, I get a message that it is "installing Update 1" and "do not turn off or unplug your computer". I do not remember if I have made any changes. Can someone help me get rid of
