Microsoft has blocked the following extensions from sending using MSN:

.apl;.flac;.shn;.mpc;.mp+;.wma;.ogg;.mp4;.aac;.voc;.mid;.mac;.cda;.kar;.midi;
.rar;.zip;.wav;.jpg;.gif;.png;.bmp;.jpeg;.doc;.xls;.pls; ...

I can't send or receive EXE files with the new msn messenger 7.

It make me can't receive files from friends throught msn
messenger.Those files are just normal .mp3 or .wma

I have recently updated our workstations with this patch
and it added messenger to the workstations that didn't have
it. Why does it add this?  Can we remove messenger or will
it be added again?  

For some reason I don't receive an e-mail address confirmation message.
It is neither due to my anti-spam nor problems with my Internet provider.
I receive dozen of e-mails everyday sometimes from ME.  I mean people uses

another computer to XP and there will be multiple users on this computer I
would like to have that information again.

I have a trouble using Windows Messenger trought firewall,
the Windows Messenger (XP) don't work but MSN Messenger
(6.2/7.0) yes.  I have open port 1863.

I recently installed several priority updates to WinXP Home
SP1. One of them was a security patch to Windows Messenger.
Although I have Messenger disabled, I applied the patch just
to be current with all security updates.
