I am having trouble getting Windows Messenger to work with audio/video.
It was working fine and then last week we had to reformat our hard
drive and now it doesn't work.  MSN Messenger works fine with audio and
video but not WM. I think i have reset everything to what it was before.

i've realized that you can create text using the IME with
software that supports it (like Word) and then copy it to
the message window. that way you can efectively send a
message with, say, japanese characters that the receiver

I have used MSN messenger for a long time .... upgrading along the
way. I simply CANNOT get MSN v7 to connect with my setup.
I am on a LAN (laptop) and all is well with v6.2 however when I
download and install v7 I cannot connect to the internet. I completely

can't send files in msn messenger i send the files wait about a minute and
then it tells me my contact couldn't receive the file these are just normal

I upgraded to msn7 and now it will not sign in.  On the computer I have 3
profiles.  On a different profile I can sign, but not on my own profile.
On the advanced tools it tells me I can connect to msn.
I am at the point I want to give up.  Where can I down load an earlier

I can't seem to get the display picture that I set up to stay. Every time I
log off, turn off the computer and then log back on to MSN Messenger, my
display picture has gone back to the default.
Any help would be appreciated.

Is it true that Exchange 2003 does not support Windows Messenger?
If so, then what is the messenger service in Exchange for?

I've noticed only some conversations get saved in "My Chat Logs" folder but
can't figure out how or why just some of them and not all.  Is it possible to
save/archive all conversations?  And is it possible to go to previous
conversations and find them if they have been archived ...

Having an issue with custom branding and missing tabs after upgraded from WM
5.0 to 5.1. After the upgrade, the branding and tabs did work for some time
them just disappeared. This is an internal only setup, running LCS 2005;
users running XP/sp2.

So I installed SP2 on some of my machines here at work and now messenger
won't launch. I go to launch it and it is just unresponsive. Any ideas?

Upgrade to 7, not had any betas etc....7 refuses to connect....though
works sometimes when I set myself to offline, then it connects, then I
change on online. I can't see anyone but they can see me...
So going back to 6.2 but can't find a working link anywhere ?

alternative - I want to login from other machines since my email is already
occupied.
