I installed the latest version of MSN Messenger (7.0.0777) this afternoon
and am happy with it .. except for one minor annoyance.
Is there any way to remove the message that appears as a text link at the
bottom of the messenger conversation window, which says things like "Click

Hello, I would like to be able to change the default browser that
Messenger 7.0777 opens to perform its actions, such as when viewing a
user?s myspace from their contact card, etc.
Why? Because I use Firefox as my default browser (as everyone should)

After I install MSN 7.0, I can't see my friend's status and

Not too good, the new 7 version cannot call the other versions; however,
they can call you.

I notice posts here regarding MSN Messneger.  A while back someone suggested
that this was the wrong group and (I assume they meant) that we should use
news:microsoft.public.msn.messenger
So which one?

I have heard that with MSN 7.0 there is a new way connecting MSN over
firewalls without opening lots of ports for video and audio. Is that right?

I updated to MSN7 yesterday and everthing has been fine, but tonight I keep
getting a windows messenger 5.1 installer box coming up and everytime I
cancel it, it comes back. Any ideas please?

Not even as a service. Hourglass comes up for a second and then dissapears.
Only trace I have is that the event viewer tells me this:
