Today I updated my Windows Messenger from version 4.7 to version 5.1
(Finnish release).
Now I have started Windows Messenger and logged in automatically
several times and found out that something is not as it was in the

i just got my computer back from being fixed..and now when i go to use msn
messenger it will not let me click the concacts names to talk to them..i have
to right click "send an instant message"..anyone know how to fix that?

I am runnung Windows XP Pro SP2 and have configured dial up my internet
connection to work automatically, but the only way i could get this to work
was to configure MSN to start when windows XP Pro starts. The problem now is

I am having an issue starting windows messenger. Regardless if I start
it from  a sortcut or run it from the .exe, I get a brief hour glass,
then nothing. I do see it pop up in task manager for a second, then it
disappears. It is not blocked by my firewall or virus scan. I have

Does anyone else have this problem?  When I try to start a game with a
contact in MSN Messenger 7.0, my access is unavailable.
It says that it is "temporarily" unavailable and try again later.  But it is
never available.

Just installed a webcamera and came across a strange problem;
MSN chatting works fine, but once I try to activate audio/video my
internet connection (DSL) drops for a few minutes. I have no internet
access what so ever.

I can't sign into Windows Messeneger.  My password and log in are definately
correct.  When I try it says the service is temporary unavailable but when I
check the site it says that it is available.  Its been doing this for days.  
I think it might be something to do with cookies ...

I recently "upgraded" from windows messenger (5.1 I think) to msn messenger.
in my naïveté I thought it would uninstall (or at least disable) windows
messenger.
