Is there an official posting of the amount of bandwidth that each of the
applications in Windows Messenger uses?
For example, what is the bandwidth use for:
voice

I can no longer see when a contact is typing a reply.  I was using Messenger
in XP Pro when it happened.  To try and find the problem I have upgraded to
7.5, reserached trouble shooting, and even disabled my fire wall settings.  
Nothing has helped.   It would be nice to see when ...

Does Windows Messenger support miltiple protocols such as AIM and Yahoo!? I
am specifically asking about Windows Messenger and not MSN Messenger -- I am
assuming the latter does not.

Messenger 4.7 came with computer.  Downloaded 7.5.  4.7 still there.  Not on
uninstall list, but stays on toolbar.  How do I get rid of 4.7.  Thanx.

On the welcome screen on windows xp next to my name it displays how many new
messages i have. But the email address there is my sisters from when she came
over. I tried changing it but i cant seem to find out how. Please help me.

I have build 7.5.0311 and when ever i play music the song titles no longer
show up in the personal message area.  All the correct options are enabled
but no luck.  Are other people also having problems?  Any help would be great

How can I build an echo server that replies all the RTP/RTCP packets of

DotMSN SDK and MSNP9 seems no to support this type of interaction.

Before service pack 2 you could remove the hide from
%systemroot%\inf\sysoc.inf and unistall the xp messenger.  Since
'upgrading' to service pack 2 xp messenger has been reinstalled and I
can't quite seem to get rid of it...

I upgraded to msn messenger version 7.5 yesterday and I can't get it to
work.  When the sign in window appears I enter my user name and
password and then it says 'signing in' then the window just disappears.
If I go to click on the icon in the bar on the bottom of the screen the

Also the administrator disabled my msn and yahoo messengers but window
messenger sometimes shows up and i can sign it . how can i open this window

due to the proxies.  It suggest for me to do it manully but where do I find
what proxies I have if I don't know where to find it?  Please will someone

I downloaded and installed msn messenger 7.5 but when
I try to sign in, a window tells me that it's impossible because of firewall
settings; but I hav'nt any firewall!!!

When I call my brother or he calls me, it says his pc is not
compatible for audio, or something like that.
It had been working fine and he made no changes that he knew about. We
checked all we knew to check
