This is the error i get when i start the messenger : (This application has
failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.
Reinstalling the application may fix this problem). i tried to reinstalling
it but the same error repeats it self. so,is there another ...

I tried everything but it just seems to be impossible to uninstall Messenger
4.7 until someone suggested the following:

Everytime I start Windows Messenger was asked by XP that I need to install
the newer version.
I then downloaded and tried to sign in, the pop up box came again asking me
to download the latest version.

Frequently, when i use messenger, it disconnected.
Signal is fine.

Is there anyway of running two instances of Messenger 5.1 (with LCS 2005),
logged on as different users; e.g. logged on as a user with his/her own
name, and also separately logged on as a "function"; e.g. "Customer Service"

When I got into the Privacy tab and then check properties on those people on
my list.  Most have a Status: Offline, Online but one says unknown.  What
does that mean?  Thanks.

Somehow the messenger service is stopped (was all right before) then i
try to restart the service and got the following message:

If I remove Windows Messenger, MSN Messenger 7.5 will work ok.?  or I need to

If I get a new email address (a new ISP - not hotmail) do I have to start
over and get a new passport etc. to use MSN Messenger or Windows Messenger.

I can't work out how to get signed easily on to Windows Messenger.  Messenger
isn't in "All Programs" in my Start Menu and there is no icon in my Task bar.
Presently I am having to do an search in "Help and Support" and then
selecting " Open Windows Messenger" from the search ...

Humm just got Win Messenger working and I can't figure out how to change the
size of the video window. It currently only covers less than 3% of the area

I have a network with a NAT router. Using a voice call between MSN Messenger
in one PC and WIndows Messenger in another causes the voice call to end
immediatly after starting. Using in both PC's similar messenger works
fine.Can someone advise please?

My nephew was fooling with my pc and now I have two versions of the MSN
messenger loaded. One is the newest build 7.5 and the other is an older
version that I cannot remove from my pc as it's not listed in the ADD REMOVE
program.

Both are through PNP routers with the latest version of firmware.
I have verified SSDP Service and Iniversal Plug and play are started on each
PC.
