I'm having trouble with my original Windows Messenger.  For some reason it
stopped working when I had to format and reinstall on my Compaq.  I have
Windows XP Pro version 2002, with Service Pack 1.  If I put Service Pack 2 on
it will not let me delete the partition on the hard ...

whenever I make it start, the cursor starts blinking and nothing happens.

I've recently installed MSN 7.5 (while Windows Messenger 4.7 was installed)!
Now MSN starts up when I start Windows, that's ok! My question is if I need

When I start the computer messenger comes up with the sign-on window.
I don't like that.
I will start messenger myself when needed.

Last week my messenger stopped working - when I launch it, the icon
appears in the system tray (with an x next to it as though it is logged
out) but nothing then happens, the window does not open and I cannot
click on the icon, I end up having to end the process in task manager.

My son and I are trying to video conference in version 7.......he can see and
hear me, I can hear him but cannot see him.
So we switch to version 4.7 and then it works.
Found that ZoneAlarm has caused problems, so I disengage it.
