I downloaded windows messenger 5.1 and installed it. However, when I click on it from the start menu, I get an hour glass for 2 seconds, and then it goes away without any screens coming up to log on etc. I updated the .NET from the windows update page.

We are using WinXp SP2 and Windows Messenger 5.1 How can i disable "Send an Instant Message" by using a Registry Key? I found the disable Keys for Video or File Transfer but not for disableing "Send an Instant Message".

We have the newest version of both messengers installed with Win XP pro SP2. When using Windows Messenger there is no audio at all. When I use MSN Messenger 7.5 the audio works sometimes, then just from one side of the conversation (They can hear me I cannot hear them).

Windows messenger 5.1.0701 I am using only in local network with Exchange 2000. I can't send messages to 2 or 3 contacts, they didn't block me and the problem is only from my computer. If i logon another computer it works fine.
