i have both MSN messenger and the default windows messenger installed
i use them both to chat at the same time with different addresses
I've set windows messenger to start with windows while i start  MSN
messenger manually buy clicking the icon

I downloaded and installed messenger 8.0 today, but when I log in, all of my
contacts are shown as being offline, and none of my contacts seems to be able
to see me online. I've tried to uninstall 8.0 and reinstall 7.5 but I am
getting the same problem now even with 7.5. Please ...

according to me, when Windows Messenger is disabled, it should display a
warning message to alert users it's disabled (e.g. : "Windows Messenger has
been disabled by system administator"), to avoid this problem:

I currently have windows messenger 4.7 and msn 7.5 running on my xp system.
No matter how i try to stop windows messenger automatically running it seems
to sneak its way back to life after a shut down.  Sometimes I have two icons
on the tray and when this occurs I have to right ...

i try to sign in but when i do it says unable to sign in at this time it says
try troubleshoot so i do and hit repair and it doesnt do anything. it says
code 80048820 what can i do to fix this problem

They've totally re-worked the way they do file transfers right?  5 months of
