I would like to restrict windows messenger on my local network. Is that something that can be done within windows messenger or is that something that needs to be done via my router? If it can be accomplished by using my router what ports would I need to block?

I use Win XP Pro and Kasperky firewall. When I open MSN, it doesn't succeed to have the connection. When I make the "Basic Internet connectivity test" I see the problem is "Deafault Gatway.

So I get the 7.5 version and it fights for control from previous one.... Who the heck is programming this? Ok so the messenger team does not want to make a delete function to remove old version before new one is installed?
