spyware check to the computer with SpyBot Search and destroy that i
habitually keep updated.

I recently upgraded from Windows ME to XP - Home Edition.  XP includes
Windows Messenger 4.7 (4.7.3001), and I also have MSN Messenger, Version 7.5
(Build 7.5.0324) carried over from when I had Windows ME.
Are both messenger systems the same, and should I get rid of the MSN one?

I have tried lots of different things to try and get around this odd
problem, from different file sizes, to different pixel dimensions, to

For some reason the main page on Windows Messenger does not appear anymore.
Therefore I can't change the status to ""offline".  Consequently every time I
open Messenger I am listed as online so I have to change it manually.

I would like ot save my chat logs. But for some reason now, they save as .xml
documents. These documents take up a lot more room on my computer. They can
also become too full way too early. They used to save as .txt files to view
in notepad. Is there anyway that I can change it ...
