Is there a way to control status upon signin in Windows Messenger.
In MSMessenger, there was a way to do this, but when I upgraded,
it gave me Windiows Messenger.  I am running Windows Messenger 5.1
A secondary annoyance is that Help->Help Topics does not work.

Both ver 4.7 and 8.0 are on my machine, but only 8.0 shows up in my add -
remove programs.  How do I get rid of 4.7?  The previous answer doesn't say
if it removes one or both or what.  Any additional help will be appreciated.

I was using the new windows live messenger recently but although i could see
my on display pic i was never able to see other peoples pics.  even when all
settings are to show them.  other users cant see my display pic either even
though my settings are to show pictures.

Hi, I have an issue with MSN messenger 8 live. When I Sign In & DL with
Bittorrent at the same time after a couple of minutes My browsers stop
connecting & I'm un able to browse with page error. When I reconnect my
Router it then works well & repeats the issue.

alough it signs for different email addresses

I used the Add/Remove for Live Messenger 8.0, because I really did no like.
Just my opinion! and then downloaded and reinstalled MSN Messenger 7.5.  I
now get the message that something is wrong and reinstalling may fix.  I
have done this three times and still no fix.

I´d like to know where I get any material about the subject.

I may be totally confused here - but humour me please!
I use Mozilla all the time now in preference to IE. I have set it to my
default browser, which is fine. However, if I open Messenger and pull
up my e-mails it is using IE. I can't seem to locate a way round this.

I'm a telecommuter. I use Messenger to communicate with colleagues during
work hours, and to friends when I'm not working. I sign-in either with my
work email or personal email. Regardless which ID I use to sign in, all my
contacts--both work and personal--pop up when I sign in. ...

I have had this error thing since 2 days ago. I can sing in with other
accounts just not my main one. help please.

What does the error means? I'm getting it after failing to sign in the MSN
messenger. I tried to reset my password hoping to rectify the problem but to
no avail. Please help me solve the problem. I can't sign-in the messenger.

So menssenger Live still not suporting animated .gif as display pics, is
there a web page or a e-mail that i can send 100.000 signatures for the .gif
suport ? cuz blue montain stuff its not good ,and no one want to pay for
those animations, and i prefer my gifs.

I am able to share the video portion of a DVD slideshow --- I'm letting a
relative preview the job as its going along --- but she can't hear the audio
that accompanies it.  We have to have the volume turned WAAAY up on my end so
she can hear it over the phone.  It works (sort of) ...
