I have one contact that is a .Net Messenger Service contact I keep trying to
delete and it errors out.  WHen I right click and delete is says "contact"
could not be deleted.  Try again later and kicks me out of .Net messenger.  I
am still logged into SIP.  Any ideas?

Is there any way to get the file extension of the file through some
properties in XP, like it would in Win 98?
For instance, I have this video file and it just says "video file" and I
wanted to know if it's a .mpg, .mov., .avi, etc.

This only started recently.... I try to sign into msn messenger...and it
starts to sign in...and then freezes and wont respond...
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling...updating...everything I could
think of... but it still does it..and it's really beginning to bother me.

with every computer with MS Windows I've been on, there's been Shortcut
buttons in the lower left corner next to the Start button. However on this
new Dell I just got there isn't.
Are they hidden? Or do I just need to add them? I think they're just hidden

I was using Win 98 previously and MSN Messenger would show me how many emails
I had in my inbox, and would go to web-based email when I clicked on the  
Inbox option.
My new system has Win XP and it does not show me how many emails I have in

I am currently running the latest version of messenger live and am have audio
cutting in and out at random intervals and durations while calling or video
chatting.
this has only recently started and I have uninstalled and reinstalled

Whenever i restart my computer MSN messenger pops up and asks me to sign in.
I find this very annoying, and was wondering how to turn this feature off.

How would I reboot my computer from scratch?  It's way too slow and I'm not
sure how I would go abouts doing it.   I have an HP notebook.
