I used to be able to have one window open with tabs for each person i was
speaking too rather than a load of separate windows to open and close trying
to chat to everyone.... i have gone throught he options but dont seem to be
able to find the option anywhere... can anyone help ...

I'm trying to sign in into my Windows Live Messenger v8.0.0812, with my
account but without any luck. It doesn't show me any errors but can keep
signing in for hours and even days (icon is still moving and applicaiton
responding).

Can severel people take together in the same channel/rooom ( like IRC ) in
Messenger?
I know you can innvite some one into your conversation.

I have been using windows messenger at work to contact another employee.
(legitimately I add), but we are now using a different package.
Is there a way I can remove my login name etc from the sign on screen ?

inside the messenger, there are many differnet fonts, some have TT next to
it, and some have OO.  I used to be able to use the fonts from the OO, but
now i can't.  does anyone know what they mean, why can't i use the fonts with
OO on the side anymore?

I am having some serious problems with my messengers logging on and off.  
They will come online, then go offline.  Can anyone help me with this?  Its
driving me crazy.  I have also noticed that my IE is only working part of the
time.  Could this be the DSL or some other problem ...

I have Win XP and Live Messenger.  Suddenly when the Messenger is open with
another window open behind - clicking on the window behind does not bring it
to the front as it always has done.  The only way I can make Messenger move
from the forground is to go to the task bar, right ...

Within the last week when I access Windows Live Messenger, each of my
contacts appear twice in the list of contacts.  I've tried uninstalling Live
Messenger and re-installing it, but I still get all of the contacts in the
list displayed twice.  Sny suggestions?

One of my contacts informs me that she is now shutting her computer down at
night, however, I've noticed that her "away message", i.e., fixing dinner -
whatever -is still showing up on my computer.  How is this possible?  My
guess is she's not really shutting her system down.  ...

The windows messenger 5.1 has the feature of SIP but unfortunetely it can't
be installed on Vista business edition.
Is there any version of Windows Messenger or any "Add-on" which will work on
Vista Business with SIP facility??? Understanding that we were able to run

New user:  when you block a contact in Live Messenger does your name appear
as "blocked" or "offline" on their screen?
