Do you have to have a standalone DVD player with HIGHMAT capability to play Movie Maker 2 VCD's.  My DVD player says it supports Windows Media, but it will not play what I've created on Movie Maker 2.  It will play VCD's created on Plus, but Movie Maker 2 has more features

I only have the Windows 98 OS.  I have a video made with the XP movie maker
of pictures that were taken with a digital camera.  What I want to know, is

When I capture my film from JVC Digital Camera GR-D31EK using DV lead and firewire card adaptor into my Packard Bell laptop computer, the video plays on my computer with good sound but the picture is distorted. Squares flicker over the film as if it is rewinding. Do you know why?
