I cannot capture a 60 minute tape from my Canon Elura 60 to my Dell laptop (Windows XP) because every time my computer shuts off during the process.  It happens sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes 30 minutes.  It just shuts off.

I'm getting close to finishing my first video. It's about an hour
long. At present it's split into 4 smaller projects and I'm saving
them to movie format individually, with a view to then combing them
before burning to dvd. They save ok in about 40 minutes each.

After upgrading from Windows XP Home to Professional,
Windows Movie Maker will no longer allow me to "Save
