Complicated DV Input to camcorder THEN to DVD16 Sep 2004 20:31 GMT2
I know this sounds weird..but I have made the video in WMM saved it to my
Sony Mini DV DCR-HC40..Then I hooked the camcorder to my Sylvania DVD
Recorder/VCR Recorder through the front SVideo.
When I try to record from my camcorder to the DVD, the DVD recorder say's

When I connect my sony DV camera to the computer with S
video cable, the picture is OK except its Black and White.
Anything I can do to get the colour?
Operating system is Windows XP.

Not sure if anyone has the same experience. I was trying to capture a footage
from my DV (that was a dub from a VHS tape). Video was capturing fine but the
audio was very choppy, full of clips and hiss. I am using a dual Xeon 2.4G,

Is there anyway to extract sound from a video clip using this program?  If
not, what program can be used?  I need to use the video, but not the sound
and I can't figure out what to do...

I am also experiencing the issues regarding NO AUDIO being captured when
using MovieMaker to capture DV-AVI through Firewire from a DV camera.
If I capture using Adobe Premiere, I get perfect audio and video. If I
capture in WMM using any other setting than DV AVI, I get audio. If I

Just last week I was importing mpg files into win movie maker just fine and
dropping them onto the timeline, editing and saving the video
Mpg files I can "play" on my desktop now no longer import into WMM - I get a
codec message - the codec needed for the file is not available ...

I just bought a new compaq laptop and also have a sony digital video camera.  
I am having problems with the sound.  When recording clips, the picture is in

When previewing movies system has hard time keeping up with MM2.  Video stalls, jerks and jumps to catch up to audio, and audio skips.  You get the picture (pun intended).

that the best quality for movies that need to be played on a dvd player is
to create a vcd, if you don't have a dvd burner.
