I am new to movie making dept.
I am trying to connect my Sony Handy cam ccd-trv68 ntsc to my laptop and am
using movie maker. When I click on detect video capture device I get a
message stating that a video capture device was not detected. I have tried 2

I cancelled the rendering of a video file that was going to take too long for
me to wait for. Can I finish the rendering using the data in the tmp file? Is
there any way to get back that information? It was taken from a video capture
card. There is no original file.

    Even though my web site says emails on other subjects will be ignored I

What are the hardest things for your computer to do? Here's a few
- hard drive speed and condition is most critical when exporting a movie
from Movie Maker to your digital camcorder.... if it's fully tuned up, it
still might not transmit smoothly if it's a slow laptop drive that ...

I have just completed an 80 mins project, which I intend tosave to mini DV.
To contain it on one tape i intend to use the LP configuration to give me 90
mins of taping. Will this affect the standard of the video in any way?  Thanks

I am trying to burn my saved movie onto a CD so I can have a friend burn it
onto a DVD for me.  Does this process normally take a long time?  When I
start it, the job time says thousands of minutes.  The movie is about 7-8
minutes long.

I am trying to burn vcds from the movie maker program that can be viewed on
my home DVD player.  They burn fine and I can view them through the windows
media player but I cannot view them on my home DVD player.  Is there any way
I can do this by changing something in movie maker ...

I'm brand new Photo Story 3 and to CD burning for that matter. I created a
"photo story" and now want to burn it to a disc to play it on a TV DVD
player. I just tried it and was unsuccessful (the disc would not read on our

I've got a massive movie, about 600MB, and I've  tried a few combos of
splitting it in half & using lower quality redering, but all attempt seem to
stall at about 5% complete.  The CPU actually stops (when I check the task
manager), and thge time remaining counter keep climbing ...

indexed. What does that mean and what do i do to correct.

I have downloaded video clips that when I try to import them, some of them
comeback saying that  the file is not indexed and cannot be imported. How do
I index them so that I can import them?
