I looked back through some threads from February and found that DVR 2 WMV
could be used to convert a .dvr-ms file to be used in moviemaker. If so, how
can I find this program ? I want to edit some recorded tv and some old home
videos, mostly so I can add music.

I already have Service Pack 2 installed on my computer.  For some reason my
version of Movie Maker is missing a bunch of the video and transistion
effects so I want to reinstall it.  Where can I find a site to just download
movie maker 2.1?

I made a video for a n English project and it looks really great. As soon as
I saved it then watched it again it looks REALLY terrible. The quality is
awful. Now, I can't even try saving it again because all the video files I
used have big X's through them.

Everytime I use any type of font, when I preview it or burn it to DVD the
fonts are all distorted and pixilated! But when I view it after I save it to
my computer and view it in Windows Media Player it looks fine!  How do I
rectify this?  Every font in my font library does this!  ...

I'm having a problem with playback after rendering the movie. The video
portion stalls however, the audio still plays and will play all the way
through to the end of the movie. I have gone back into the movie project and
if I move the picture frame that the video hangs up on and ...

I am trying to get Save to dvd on my movie maker menu and cannot find it , I
have a laptop with the same software and build and this shows save to Dvd can
anyone please help me

Is it even possible?  I'm making a slide show and I want to use these songs
that I got from napster, but it says the files are protected by DMR.  Is
there anyway I can get around this?

i have WMM2 (latest version and all latest .dll's) and each time i try and
save a project i am getting the following...
"Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify
that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that

i really got problem on importing song to my movie because of the copyright
protection of the song. how to take the protection off? or anybody from this
community has the song "Courtesy of the Red, white and blue" and "American
Soldier" by Toby Keith. Hope somebody has this copy ...

I have nothing but problems with MM and none at all with Nero. The drama is
that unless you have a disc with sp2 or download the whole thing you cant
reinstall MM to rectify any errors. Think I'll just stick to Nero instead,

I have been looking all over, since ms doesn't support the new format.  I
have tried using the programs off of TGB and they do not work at all.  
Probably to show off.  I just want to convert dvr-ms to mpeg files.  There
HAS to be a way (free preferably).

I have gotten this so that it will save to cd and play on the WMP thanks to

I'm using WMM to capture video from my JVC which records in miniDV. Whenever
I connect the camera to the computer with the iLink and put it in the vcr
mode WMM says that it does not recognize it.
Am I connecting it wrong? Do I need the camera in another mode besides VCR

Can anyone suggest a good codec pack that's stable?  I looked on
Is the XP Codec Pack the same as the Windows XP Codec Pack?
