I have a clip that someone provided me as a Quicktime MOV file, and
I've succesfully translated it to being a WMV file.  I want to erase
bits of the audio track where there is cursing.  I have very little
experience with Movie Maker.  I do have a dedicated audio editor

I'm making a slide show with music and the file size is only around 8MB
however when I drap a video transition to the transition section it takes
over 10 seconds to catch up.
I'm frequently getting lock up by windows movie maker.

I am a hobbiest developer/video editor and I can't find a video editing
package that will allow me to apply a reverse effect to videos. Is there some
documentation on writing plugins for wmm so that I can add this feature to
wmm?

I just completed my first movie slide show with 200 jpeg images with sound.
Movie Maker was slow and non responsive when changes were made but I finally
made it.
I am now making another with 1200 jpeg images and it is impossible to work

Is there a plug-in that is available that will allow you to import DVD VOB
files in Movie Maker 2..
I have had some old 8mm movies converted to DVDs and would like to be able
to import them directly into Movie Maker 2 for editing..

I've been using WMM for about a month now.
When I first started it froze a lot so I switched all the file types I would
use from .avi to .wmv
Worked fine.

practically everytime I go to edit the film or do something it always freezes
and says its not responding also it wont let me me play the movie from
anywhere other than the begining can anyone help me?

I was having a problem with my virtual memory so I increased it manually.  
After I did that is when I started having problems showing video in movie
maker.  Now it will not let me see the preview of video in the timeline or
preview video from the collections......Anyone have any ...

Another question... Does movie maker allow for a translucent "still" to be
placed over a video clip, or is that strictly a separate software requirement?

Is it possible in movie maker to lay 2 video clips on top of each other, with
one translucent and the other one not, so they run together at the same time?

After much hair pulling I kinda figured out how to make my large movie work.  
I was using strictly MM2 w/ over 150 still photos.  Every photo had a
transition and an effect.  Which I read on a post helps bog it down.  Plus a
lot of my photos were scanned w/ the highest dpi.  ...

i originaly started a movie in movie maker 2 using still pictures, but read
that the final project would be a bit blurred.  so i opted to re-create my
project in photo story 3.  i am now trying to convert/encode [not sure of the
correct term here] my photo story using the nero ...
