I can capture and drag them to the timeline and even get them to showup like
I want them to be, but if I do the combine thing and then try to save the
only option I get is WMVMM...I want them to be WMV extents like they were
before I tried to edit them...How can I get them to ...

Are they ever going to release the new Movie Maker 2.1 to those that already
have sp2?

ok i have tried many times to drag drop/import my video file i want to edit,
i ahve it in .mpg and .avi format, both do the same thing. when i start to
cut the .avi file to the music and chop it about movie maker pops up the
'send error report' messege, closes the program i loose ...

As a new user of this software I believe I have made an error. I hope someone

I am making a movie of a work project and have Imported all the relevant
footage form my DVCam to my Collections.

I am running MM2.1 v5.1 on a Fujitsu Amilo notebook, Athlon 64 4000+, 240MHz,
1Gb RAM, XP Home SP2 (fully updated)...but..I cannot seem to add anything
(jpg, mpg, avi) to the storyboard or timeline. I have set up my collections,
and I can view in the preview pane. I have tried ...

Have XP and SP2. When I open MM 2.1, there are no transitions or effects in
my Video Transitions or Video Effects Collections. Should there have been
some (basic) ones installed or is there some place where I can download them?

Hello. I just got WMM and just after I assorted all my clips together I
wanted to see if my subtitles were in place but when i hit play on the time
line it would only play the music and sounds. There was no error or anything.

Hi every couple of minutes after using wmm it becomes slow or unresponsive
and then it will start becoming unresponsive at a certain point when i try to
edit a certain clip in eah film and wont let me save after that so i never am
able to edit on certain clip in all my movies and ...

I'v been use WMM for a long time and i want to lean to the following:
-Remove sound from downloaded anime(or any vids really)
-Add on screen text to video
 -how to chaing color of text if extra step needed

I don't have windows XP, is there any way i could get something even remotely
like Windows Movie Maker. If i cant get anything by windows, is there
anything ese that is free for download that you could recommend.

Their is a copy of movie marker for WinMe you should be able to find it
but it the the crapy oraginal or better off getting xp the downloading
2.0( xp verison).

I recently burned a camera video tape on a data dvd and transfered it to
Movie Maker so I could edit and add special effects. However when I play it
on Movie Maker it only plays the audio with out the image. I have tried
downloading several updates but nothing works.

Having problems saving to my computer. Didn't have this problem before. When
I click save it tells me it will take many thousands of minutes to save. I
left it overnight - it took 8 hours to progress 9%.
The file I'm using has been captured from a dv camcorder, its about 40 mins

Can somebody please tell me is there a possible way to import a video that's
in .mov format into movie maker without converting it into avi or wmv? I
can't find any good converter so I was wondering if there was a way, some
CODEC maybe or something?

When I plug my dv into the computer everything works fine until i try to
start capture.  i can control the camera from the computer, and it will start
to play (I can see it on teh view finder) but it will not actually capture
teh video.  pls help
