Have previously downloaded music without a problem, now my CD drive is not recognized. A window is shown indicating items that i selected , ready to download, but there is indication that no disc is in the drive. I have a formatted disc there

I have tried to copy a CD into WMA format, but under Copy
Settings, the WMA default is not available.
Is there a way to activate this?

About a week ago, my new computer started playing any sound or music really
fast (sounds like chipmunks). It does it with mp3s, wavs, CDs, DVD....  Its
happens with any software
I've tried re-installing the audio drivers but that hasn't helped.

I have a Gateway DMP-X20 MP3 player.  The suggested
program that I use to load music onto it is Windows Media
Player.  When I load a CD on my computer, it appears in
the WMP library in the correct order, but when I transfer

I down load a CD that I just burned.  I try to burn
another for it.  I had no problem with the one before.  
But everytime I complete a burn.  It gives me the
message:  Windows Media Player did not copy all selected

My PC has been providing sound quite normally, until last few days, now it won't produce any sound at all. Have gone into Control Panel (Sounds & Audio devices) - under 'Volume', it reads " No audio device"

The system only recognises the option "copy to portable
device", which I don't have.

When I want to change CDs I have to close media player
then open it so it will recognize the new CD.  What do I

When I click on the speech icon on the control panel,
there is no speech recognition tab as told in the help
and support center. I was trying to configure my
microphone on my laptop. Has anyone an answer for this?
