I'm using XP (SP2) and I have WMP 9.  When I try to record a brief .wav from
a track on a CD that's playing, it acts like its being recorded, but I get
nothing when I try to play back the results.  What's wrong?  Yes I'm new at
this.

For some reason I can not hear any sound coming from my laptop speaker or

I don't seem to be able to play CDs that I've burnt on a regular CD player.
I've tried converting all the WMA files to MP3 first but they always seem to
get converted before burning. I've tried both Windows Media Player and
iTunes. Any ideas?

I have a similar problem as Roger with the horrific sound problems..ever
since I bought my Toshiba Satellite last fall, all sounds coming from the
computer sound like they were recorded at high speed, or as though the

I have Windows Media Player 9 and have downloaded songs (WMA DRM files) from
Walmart.com (Walmart only uses WMA DRM files). I have the licenses, yet they
