Last night I played some wonderful music and today there is no sound at all

I am trying to figure out why I can't play CD's that have been ripped with
Windows Media Player 10 on other CD players.  It will play on some but not on

Hi, when I try to use Gracenote to get info on my CD tracks titles etc, my
computer tells me: internal error, open socket. I cant get the music info,

When I listen to music on yahoo the voices are distorted... but the
insturments sound perfect.  it's not just the video, i've tried different
ones.  Does anyone know what's wrong and how to fix it?

I recently saw an ad for a "pc-free" device that will record DVDs.
I'd love to find something that will enable me to transfer music from
cassettes to CDs. Ideally a device with both cassette player and CD recorder
in one unit.

Hi - wondering if anyone else is having this problem. When I try to play a
burned CD in my DVD player (which I also use as my home stereo CD player),
sometimes a CD will not play continuously. I thought first of all it was
because of a cheap CD, so I changed to a "brand name". ...

Is there any way to make .wav files smaller? I have one now that is 38 MB and
is way to big for what I need. I don't care about losing quality, but I don't
want to convert it to an MP3.

I have MediaPlayer9 that when playing sound fast and jumps, lots of
popping and cracking noises, most of which sound unrecognizable. I've
tried upgrading to 10 with same results. Installed the WM9Codecs.exe
from Microsoft also, still no good. But there is an exception, if I

Is there a way to copy and burn on the first 25 sec of a 3 min. tune on a
CD.  In other words, I dont want the whole song?

How do I connect my notebook with MP3 files or videos to my TV (here I have a
special card) but esp. to my Hifi system in order to play my music library
via my normal applifier. I already tried to connect the normal Audio cables
(red and white) to the AUX inline, but it does not ...

I'm sorry I'm not giving you a lot of information to work with, but I'm
trying to find a web site where people "post" music and the name of the site
has something to do with news or newsgroups or newscasters.....
