xp 10, node code number.. unknown error msg..the common error message..
won't allow me to rip.. I can play it, but it won't rip so I can put it on a
MP3 player.
Anyone found a way around this one?  I already checked..the box is clear on

I have an MP3 player (Samsung YH-920) for which I used to use 'Yepp studio'
to interface.
I don't like the software, but have not yet found a substitute that works
(allows me to see what's on the MP3 player).

I am unable to open iTunes and Picassa, again, it comes up with the following
error.  I have recently installed Norton Anti Virus software, dunno if this
has affected it.  I have played with Start up configurations recently too.

On inserting an audio CD into the CD drive Windows XP offers me a choice of
software which can paly it, eg Nero, Creative  SB Live, Windows Media player
, etc.  It also offers me the choice to make my selection the default in
future.

Just last night, while nothing was playing on my laptop PC (musicmatch jb) my
speakers let out a sharp static sound and then no sound came from my speakers
after that.  I've spent hours all night and all this morning running virus
scans, doing windows updates, and troubleshooting ...

Have Windows XP and used Media Player 10 to rip cd's easily enough.  When
wanting to burn it keeps coming up with: "insert a blank CD-R or blank CD-RW
in CD drive (E:) and then try again."  
I have done, tried 3 different cd's, rebooted etc.  Now what?

I have the Toshiba Satellite M30x and until yesterday, my play, stop, ff, rwd
buttons worked. I think I may have pressed something to disable these buttons
but I can't figure out how to get them to function again. Please help!

decided to erase the CD-RW discs that I was using and start again, but a pop
up window told me that the files were read only and could not be erased even
though the cd writing wizard said the files were ...
