The general volume control can be adjusted either (1) by opening the volume control and changing the volume lever with the up/down keys or with the mouse cursor, as well as (2) via dedicated volume control keys, on keyboards provided with this facility.

Suddenly I can't get any sound on my Dell with Windows XP Professional. For example there is not even any "music" when I boot up or close down. No sound in running RealPlayer. All connections are intact, volume controls as they should be. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Every time i transfer music from a cd to my hard drive from windows media player or sony sonicstage programme, my computer freezes midway through transfer. This happens almost every time.
