I recently installed windows xp pro on my computer, but it tells me that I
don't have an audio device.  I'm not sure what to use or how to configure it.
Is there a specific download out there (preferably free)?  Any help would be

So I went to Windows Update, and was updating and noticed that there
was an update for the Realtek Audio. So I installed it.. And my sound
stopped working. I already tried rolling back and uninstalling and
reinstalling the previous drivers.. but it still doesn't seem to be

Somehow I have lost the menu item from the Start Menu that opens My Music.
I still have My Documents and My Pictures.

I have a correctly functioning Realtek card, newly reinstalled driver,
everything unmuted but, despite that, there is no sound coming from the
onboard speakers. I have not looked at the BIOS yet because I am new to
Windows.

Everytime when I insert an audio cd into my computer using both a cd drive
and dvd drive my computer freezes 10 seconds later.  However every other
format (Video, game, dvd, etc) works fine.  Its just the audio cd's that
freeze my computer.  How do I go about fixing this problem?

the line in jack the time limit is 60 seconds for my Dell Dimension 3000
