Hi, I'm wondering if anyone out there knows of any acknowledged problems
between Windows XP SP2 and SP3 and M-Audio's flagship Firewire 1814 (external
soundcard). The bottom line is the card was working beautifully for 3 months
then suddenly I'm getting disconnects - so much so ...

One of my laptops seems to have a bit of a problem. When trying to open any
music file, it can lag for up to two minutes, and when moving to the next
song, media player hangs and the hdd light is quite solid. Have tried obvious
things like defragging, but to no avail.

I have windows vista. When I plug in a microphone, I can't hear myself in the
headphones. The vista mixer doesn't have a playback option for the mic. Any
info would be greatly appreciated. Not sure if I need to download drivers, or
just purchase a USB soundcard hoping it comes with ...

Apparently Automtic Updates installed MP11 which I didn't want. It doesn't  
work.Will not play CDs other than music I have stored on my computer.Will not
burn anything, will not play any prerecorded Cd's or DVDs.

Why does a CD limit audio to 80 minutes when the actual size is 700MB?  I
would love to dump some audio books to CDs.

i re installed win xp pro,
and volumcontrol panel are working,
but no sound out in the speakers.
tryed to install the realtek ac97 driver,
