I have two computers, Windows 2000 Server Desktop and
Windows XP Laptop.  I'm able to ping each other but can't
get the windows explorer to see each other.
I added the IP Address on Zone Alarm to get the pinging to

Can I use SP1a to reinstall SP1 without additional risk?
Gateway desktop and Gateway laptop can't share files or
folders when trying to open shared folder on laptop.  
However laptop can read/write shared files on desktop.

Open Network Connections.
Under LAN or High-Speed Internet, click the local area connection for the home
or small office network.
Under Network Tasks, click Change settings of this connection.

We have 2 computers. One Laptop and one PC, both with XP Home. Our ISP is
AOL -Germany.(I'm not german, I just live here.  :-)    ) We are wireless

I have a dial-up internet connection and everytime I connect to the internet the screachy modem noise is amplifed through my speakers.  I can turn my speakers down, but I'm looking for a better solution.  Any ideas?

My network is now operational but I'm not sure why.
I went into advanced and added TCP/IP to all bindings. This immediately got
networking functional on both machines. I then went and removed ALL TCP/IP file
