I can Ping my own IP address. The LED on the hub is showing as connected. The connection Status shows connected but I can't connect to any other PC across a peer to peer network.

I recently upgraded to XP from 98. When I am connecting to the net, my system is getting shutdown abruptly with the message "remote procedure call getting terminated unexpectedly". What could be the possible reason(s)?

If I let my computer sit for 10 or more minutes without having a file from the server open (win 2000 server), it disconnects me and I have to log off and back on again. I've looked everywhere for a solution.

My newest dilemma... can not access internet thru my cable modem. "Can't find the page...". ISP's tech was able to hookup and access the network. So at that point, we decide that problem is with my PC probably the NIC. So I replaced the ethernet card. Still no results. ...

For some reason, my networking isn't working properly in XP. I installed a Linksys wireless adapter, and the driver installed correctly, but there is no local area connection showing up at all in my 'network connections' window. I ran the networking wizard, but it did not help. ...
