I have a small home LAN setup... 2 XP Home and 2 Win98se systems.
Most of the time there's no problem but, a couple of times, one of the XP
Home systems crashes when I go to MY NETWORK PLACES and click on VIEW
WORKGROUP COMPUTERS or I try to access one of the others PC's resources.. ...

I have been visiting this site for a few weeks and all has been fine
until a few days ago and it started to slow, slow then now its gone.
I guess could be anything except when I do a ping on the name I get this IP#
127.0.0.1  It resolves fine but isn't this IP number a generic one ...

by.  I believe that the issue is with the network bridge because after
waking my computer from stand by I can't get online, but if I disable

I have a LAN with some systems on WinXP and some on Win98 with NAV.
Network seems to be working fine, i.e., I can see all other computers
in Windows Explorer and transfer files and play network games.  My
only question is: "Why don't the other computers respond to the ping
