I am having this weard problem.
when i ping localhost, workstation name, Ip address
all of them return me the same output.

I have a client using a windows xp media center computer, they're trying to
access a shared drive on an xp pro machine on the same network, in the same
workgroup.
All software firewalls are turned off on his machine, and other xp pro

I should know, I used to know, but......
I'm migrating W98 machines to XP.
Novell network.
Same workgroup, different IP addresses.

I have a desktop in the basement and a wireless upstairs, with a wireless
card installed.
I have the linksys router installed downstairs and I have taken steps to
make sure it is a secure network.

My internet setup is like this
Win Xp op system conected through a Dlink wired router and cable modem.
when I clink on some link the page does not open and after that I
cannot access any page.

How can I connect to a computer inside a network from outside if you
only know it's internal network's IP? For example, if computer is
behind home router.
