I upgraded my Dimension desktop to a wireless network card, and now the network connection randomly disconnects if left idle for a period of time (not sure how long, but definitely less than a day). It only comes back if I "Repair" the wireless connection or reboot.

I have a NT domain server, with a number of machines running mainly win2000. Recently we have acquired a XP Pro machine. I have set ip up to logon to the domain, and from the XP Pro machine I can logonto the domain, and can view the machines/printers on network and connect etc.

I am trying to connect windows xp home through a belkin router connected to a cable modem. Local Area Connection says connected but gives me IP address of 10.0.1.x and Default Gateway is 10.0.1.1 (assigned by DHCP) but IP should be 192.168.2.x
