I was wondering if anyone knows where the "locations" in "Select User or Group" in "Advanced Security Settings" gets populated from? Is there any way to add another network PC or remote user to the "locations" box? TonyG

I have two computers, computer1 and computer2. I had problems recently with files on computer1 which caused me to turn off simple file sharing, i fixed these problems and went back to simple file sharing, however, upon doing so, the way files are shared have changed.

Would there be any issues in this setup? The little bit of quick research I've done leads to very minor, if any, issues, but I can't find anything specific regarding doing this with no DNS server running. And, if we do have to run DNS, would an NT DNS Server work OK?

OK -- somehow I am screwing this up. I currently have a Dell Dim 2400. It is set up for Broadband with a Lynksys router. I also have a new Dell Inspiron 2200 with a wireless card.
