I have 1 desk top running XP and a lap top running Windows 98 a wireless router and a broadband connection. 2 days ago I successfully shared files and printer on desktop with the lap top and also the lap top files with the desk top.

Internet traffic is indicated by firewall, contiuous traffic. Zone alarm tells me that the only active program is Generic Host Process for Win 32 Services (svchost.exe) and if I disable internet access for this program IE stops working. Norton antivirus doesn't see any virus's. ...

My network has been operating fine for a year with 2 XP Pro SP2 PCs. A few days ago, PC 2 failed to come up on the network (PC2 works fine otherwise). It does show that it is connected in the network status at 100mbps but no IP address are any other info.
