is it possible to network two machines, one running XP Pro & the other
running XP Home?  I am having the common ( from what I read here) problem of
'access denied' 'path not found' when trying to network a laptop (running XP
home) and the PC (running XP Pro).

I have a wireless (Hawking router and USB Network Adapter) between XP HOME
SP2 and Media Centre 2005 (i.e. a form of Pro) on a cable modem.  I
could see all workgroups on each computer and could access shared files on
Media Centre from XP HOME but not vice versa.

Laptop has suddenly given up resolving host names....
Personal PC, no Corporate/Enterrpise connection (e.g. via Ethernet);
have only ever used dial-up to Internet, and all worked until recently.

I am trying to network an XP64 system and a 98 system together. Anyone
have any ideas on how to do this? both systems are connected to a
router. I have treid but can't seem to get either computer to see the

I'm a student worker at a college, and we've been getting a wierd
internet problem that doesn't seem documented and no one can figure
out.  On XP pro, both SP1 and SP2, many computers aren't able to get on

i have a domain i just created it since few days in my small network . ther
are only one computer(XP) under this domain and all other computers (98) in
