Anyone know what could cause my wireless connection on my laptop to drop
from 100mbps to 54mbps? I reformatted the main drive on my other computer,
which was a desktop, but I never unplugged the dsl modem. So I don't know
what could have caused it.

got a D-link router 614+, and to this router I have two computers (Both on

I just got a new hp that has a wireless network card and an ethernet card on
it. I plugged the cable, configured the IP adress and successfully ran the
network setup wizard. Even though I can ping the other systems in the network

i have connected my laptop and desktop directly via a cat5e cross over cable.
my desktop is connected to aol broadband via a usb modem. i am able to access
the shared drives on both computers remotely but it will only allow me to
connect to the internet on the desktop.

I'm trying to use the network connections wizard to establish a VPN
connection to our office computer.
When I get to the screen that asks whether I want to connect via dial-up or
broadband, both choices are greyed out so I'm stuck.
