I have a workgroup of 3 pcs. All can see each other in the workgroup, however the shared folders & printer on one pc cannot be seen from the others. There is no firewall switched on. I have run XP repair, no difference. I just get \\pcname is not accessible...

Stupid question, using XP-SP2 without any third part utilities, how do you tell what channel wireless bases are transmitting on? Often when setting up a new base there are several in the area already, it would be good if I could select a chanel that is not in use.

On all of my computers, I'm seeing network activity on my net adapter (flashing light) coordinated with disk activity, but not applications are running. Now, I am running msn messenger, but not signed in. And of course, dozens of processes of myriad names.

I have 1 windows xp PC connected to a Windows xp Laptop via a netgear adsl router with dhcp. both systems can ping the router and the laptop can ping the pc but the pc cannot ping the laptop. Neither can see each other in my network places. anyone got any ideas?
