On my laptop i have wireless-LAN. I want to go wireless with my broadband, do i do this by buying a wireless router eg. linksys? If this is correct would i need a wireless pc card or not? If i am totally wrong could you please send your suggestions.

The network connection keeps disconnecting from the network after applying SP2. We have a few laptops that have problems with a disconnecting network card. The problem starts a month after applying SP2. I checked the autodisconnect parameters, but found no problem there.

First 'my computer' device manager show's no hardware? Also, I can seem to access my usb scanner. When setting up the workgroup the printers automatically shared but not the scanner. I can seem to figure out how to get the scanner software to see the scanner. Help?

Alright, I convinced my parents to make the switch to a wireless router, and I installed a nice Linksys router for them. The install went well, and I have it runnig fine. All the wired computers on our network work great with it, as does my laptop (which is running XP Pro SP2).
